Lost mouse, 99% keyboard in kde wayland after zypper dup

Did a zypper dup last night, booted this morning, no issue entering password for decryption of /home and no issue entering password for kde login, then it loads desktop and I suddenly see a popup to adjust my network (its cable, not wifi), mouse is gone and keyboard hardly works (ctrl+alt+del works and some ctrl+alt+f1 or f3 which increases volume). So also can’t get to a terminal.

Rebooted, same
Rebooted to timeline snap from Sunday, works fine
Rebooted, tried x11, worked
Logged out, set to wayland, worked
Rebooted, wayland, no keyboard mouse

So for now working in x11 till I head out to work (so won’t be able to reply till home tonight)

Update, looks a bit like this https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1257873 but if its udev then why does it work in x11 and wayland after logging out of x11 and into wayland

I rolled back and all works, in the bugzilla a user states het locked udev, if I do that I need to stick to systemd 257.9-4.1 and same for systemd-lang but rest of the system updates as it should and works.

It is strange this udev thing effect only wayland

@Xilanaz and Plasma(?)… and yourself and another user(?)

See: https://forums.opensuse.org/t/mouse-not-recognized-suddenly/191715

Not seen any issues on GNOME and Hyprland.

Correct, only kde wayland, sorry for my bad phrasing.

systemd 258.4.1-1 seems to have fixed this issue (in case someone is following this)
