Still trying to solve the xdg-desktop-portal problem

Hi,

Back in June 13, 2026 I had posted this issue.

I had also created this bug report on bugzilla about the subject.

Up to now nothing has happened and no fixed version has been officially released, although a new “corrected” version is mentioned on bugzilla.

I am using some flatpaks on two TW systems with XFCE environments and both are facing the same problems. Those flatpaks do not work correctly and several other apps produce error messages in the logs.

I have found the previous version of the app in the following repo: home:lalala123:x86_succeed_pro but I don’t know if this repo is reliable and whether I should download and install xdg-desktop-portal-1.20.3-3.1.x86_64.rpm from there, so that I can do my job until the corrected version is finally released.

Unfortunately, I haven’t kept the relative snapshots so that I can revert the problematic systems back to that state.

What would you suggest please?

I have nothing specific against that home: repo, but I think that a better source might be the GNOME:STABLE:48 repo where devel work is being done.

You can download the “official” packages from the ~20 last openSUSE Tumbleweed snapshots from here.

I’ve tried that already but the previous version does not exist anymore. This link produces an error 404.
