Any terminal messages?

I didn’t get any error messages-just the little bouncing ball when it tried to run then nothing

The “bouncy ball” is when you try to open it via click on the app starter, right? Did you try to start the application from terminal?

no just clicking on the icon to start it. I just installed it

Would you be so kind to open a terminal, type skanpage and hit enter? The terminal is the first tool of choise when an application won’t start to get additional informations why.

manny@desktop:~> skanpage

Install the package tesseract-ocr and try again. Seems like a missing dependency.

sudo zypper in tesseract-ocr
