It is OK and intentional.
xwaylandvideobridge also has held up my DUP for the past several days:
Problem: 1: the installed xwaylandvideobridge-0.4.0+git12-15.77.x86_64 requires 'libQt6Gui.so.6(Qt_6.9.2_PRIVATE_API)(64bit)', but this requirement cannot be provided

Could this be related to the Qt 6.10 update that hui mentioned in https://forums.opensuse.org/t/stuck-in-a-problem-loop-when-trying-to-update-to-tumbleweed-snapshot-20251013/188952 ?
And is it still needed? https://discuss.kde.org/t/is-xwaylandvideobridge-still-needed/39738
So … I can remove it safely? I ask again because I don’t know what it does /did. It sounds like it is something I need to let WAyland properly work.
All I can say is that it was marked for removal by Tumbleweed maintainers. I am not going to make any promises whether it is “safe” or “not”.
When did you try the last time? zypper dup should offer to remove it:
andrei@tumbleweed:~> rpm -q --provides openSUSE-release | grep xwaylandvideobridge
weakremover(xwaylandvideobridge)
andrei@tumbleweed:~>
Thank you for the feedback, arvidjaar and hui. I selected the ‘deinstallation of xwaylandvideobridge’ option, DUP’d, rebooted. Everything seems to be working properly.
Ok, I did go on, so the bridge is removed. All seems to be ok. Tx for the answers.
