Tried to switch to Plasma (Wayland)
in SDDM after nvidia driver update - this bug happened again, session was not restored - and completely broken. Also HiDPi in Wayland still terrible, so switched back to Plasma (X11)
.
I might be mistaken. But I think that’s a Wayland limitation.
I typically start with a saved session. But saving the session doesn’t seem to do anything in Wayland. So I switch to X11, and save the session there. After that, I use Wayland which does start things as the save session requires. If I want to change what I have save, I have to temporarily go back to X11 to generate a new saved session.
Same. So staying on X11.
I had the same but starting Wayland destroyed my session so I forced to recreate it. So Wayland is not a variant still: session plus terrible HiDPI.
Also after Wayland try HiDPI is broken in Plasma 6 Splashscreens (after SDDM login) now as well: very small icons, animations and fonts - not scaled.
It happens again and again: session not saved even in X11!.
After that switch to Wayland KDE stopped to save session completely! How to fix?!
