OpenSUSE Leap 15.5 x86-64 fails to boot after upgrade from 15.4. to 15.5 (repost)

This is a repost of OpenSUSE Leap 15.5 x86-64 fails to boot after upgrade from 15.4. to 15.5, which was closed due to inactivity on my part (sorry about that).

I upgraded a rarely used openSUSE Leap 15.4 x86-64 system to 15.5 last October (2024). It fails to boot into the default kernel, openSUSE Leap 15.5 with Linux 5.1.4.21-15050055.73-default. However, I can boot the system using the openSUSE Leap 15.5 with Linux 5.1.4.21-150400.24.100-default kernel. I haven’t applied any further updates as I’m afraid making the situation worse. I’m not sure how to debug the boot failure and need help figuring out how to proceed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Additional Information
I followed SDB:System upgrade to Leap 15.5 when upgrading. Here’s a screen capture of what I get:

systemd usually enters emergency.target when it cannot mount some filesystem.

Better show us ouput from zypper lr -d. Newest 15.5 kernel I see is 5.14.21-150500.55.88.1. Latest 15.6 kernel is 6.4.0-150600.23.73.1.
