recordMyDesktop

you can install any of the above without internet, they include all the dependencies, just unzip the both files into a folder named MMP2008 and create a repository from that folder as a simple rpm folder in yast, then make a search in the yast installer with the name of the program and check it to install it, this is very important if you dont have internet at home, and besides, by default OpenSUSE 11.1 doesnt include several codecs due to license matters.

I just tried to download the 64bit version from your site, and got an error - invalid file.
Is the 64bit available or haven’t you got around to building it yet?
Thanks once again for providing this bunch of packages, it certainly makes re-installing a breeze
I have received the same report several times, it is because mediafire, sometimes the service is down, I have ready this version of the MMP since Monday, but I was able to upload it until today because the service was with problems.
The 64 bit version is available since March 18th 2009

I downloaded the entire package as you suggested, (with 56k…might as well not have internet:-)), created the MMP2008 folder as you suggested, but I am having a difficult time understanding how to create the simple RPM directory.
I am new to this and don’t quite understand a) how to make a URL that Yast will recognize b), which portions of the pack to use once I do get the URL right to make things like Amarok work.
Hi and welcome to the forum, in the MMP blog there is a video tutorial, this video can help you to setup the portable repo and to install a program from the pack, in the pack there is a txt file with the list of the included programs, just make a search in yast as shown in the video to install the programs you need, this is the link to the video tutorial
According to some test I have made, you can download the entire pack in a cibercafe in about 1:30 hours and the video in about 5 minutes, this is faster than using a 56k connection.
