Hi !
I migrated from OpenSUSE 12.3 to OpenSUSE 13.1. Everything went fine but I noticed that mpeg2enc is missing.
Kino needs mpeg2enc for Mpeg export (DVD, avi, mpeg 2, Mpeg 4…). Ironically I have mpeg2dec
Do you know where I can find mpeg2enc ?

On Packman.
You should have that repo already if you have kino and mpeg2dec, I’d say.
If not add it in YaST->Software Repositories->Add->Community Repositories.
mpeg2enc is in the package “mjpegtools”. But be sure to install the one from Packman, a stripped down version is installed by default.
Use YaST->Software Management’s “Versions” tab to select the version.
Thanks it works now, indeed I have to select the packman package. Strange OpenSUSE mainstream repository uses a stripped version of mjpegtools that is not fully compatible with Kino
Not strange
