Latest update broke my wifi

fortunately, could roll back to a stable snapshot, but even after using iceWM environment to apply latest updates, I am unable to connect and WiFi starts and stops every few seconds without ever establishing connectivity. Am back on kernel 6.9.3 because that was stable. good luck, if i can supply more detailed information to help, please advise.

New install Network Manager connection deactivates every few seconds

I’ve used tumbleweed before on my HP Zbook Firefly Workstation without wifi connection problems. But I’ve just done a fresh install and cannot connect. I have the most recent iso image. The install went easily. I used the default settings. But as soon as I booted the machine, the Network Manager just connects and disconnects to my wifi within seconds. I’ve searched everywhere for answers, but nothing I found helps. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

This issue is fixed in kernel 6.9.5-6.1 from Kernel:stable repo and upstream in version 6.9.6 (https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v6.x/ChangeLog-6.9.6).

I was bit with this too. I just rolled back and waited. I meant to do a bug report but it looks like I have nothing to contribute now. The solution is already in the pipeline!

You can manually install the old version of the driver and wait for the upstream to fix the bug.
