With Live Leap 15.6 Build16.61 Media iso installed on a 64Gb usb stick cannot be changed language to Turkish. First using Yast I tried to change to Turkish but tr-TR.UTF-8 file cannot be found.
In the list of /usr/lib/locale there were “limited” languages and of course tr-TR.UTF-8 does not exist. After a forcet reload of glibc-locale file was in the list and Yast completed language change.
Now KDE language can’t be changed in system settings. In “Language” page when “Change Language” or “Add More…” used only “C” and “American English” appears in the list.
Please be aware of the following limitations of the live images:
They should not be used to install or upgrade. Please use the installation media instead
They have a limited package and driver selection, so cannot be considered an accurate reflection as to whether the distribution will work on your hardware or not
Kernel and initrd can’t be updated, so they shouldn’t be used as a persistent installation
arvidjaar, there is no package plasma6-workspace-lang but package plasma5-workspace-lang installed.
I have another usb stick of 32Gb which created one of the previous versions of openSUSE KDE live 15.6 ISO and I can use it in Turkish. When “Add More…” used all available languages listed.
For the last ISO no other languages can be selected in systemcontrol and only English can be used too.
If you want to find out why, start with providing some data. “It was working in the past” is not enough. You said that one of the two packages is installed. What about another one?
