Intel AX201 wifi not working on Aeon & transactional-update

@cake808 posted about this two years ago but did not receive any help, and unfortunately I’m in the same situation.

I was also informed about a Reddit thread where ultimately someone seems to compile a generic driver but I’m rather new to Linux and absolutely new to an immutable distro so I don’t know how to go about doing that.

My results look pretty much the same as in that thread from two years ago (but of course I’m on kernel 6.8.1-1 and the driver is included since kernels 5.2 although the numbers in the filenames you get from downloading straight from Intel are slightly different than what I see in /lib/firmware, but I don’t know what to make of that).

Additionally, when I boot, I do get this where I see the word WLAN:

Also just noticed this:

eobet@tumbleweed:~> dmesg | grep iwlwifi
[ 8.103729] iwlwifi 0000:02:00.0: BAR 0 [??? 0x00000000 flags 0x20000000]: can't assign; bogus alignment
