Zypper up cannot retrieve repo

Just sits trying to get metadata for kde extras and doesn’t go any further. YaST does similar (freezes) during online update?

Thanks.

maybe a problem with the repos?
The KDE updater app in my systray has been checking for updates for the past two hours and not getting anywhere.

What’s more infuriating though is that launching Yast software manager I get the message “packagekit is busy. Ask to quit?”
Select “yes” and every twenty seconds it keeps popping up saying “packagekit is busy. Ask to quit again?” repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat.

So asking packagekit to quit actually does absolutely nothing.

Yes, there are general problems at the moment, basically downloading metadata (or packages) is dead slow currently.

killed off packagekit in ksysguard and loaded yast2 software manager

it is getting stuck here so there does seem to be some kind of problem with the repos?

At the same time on me notebook everything is fine with leap update.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Be aware the update repos can be very large, so you may have to wait a lot longer than for other repos.
