Zoom : unable to share screen

Hi,

I’ve installed Zoom on my Gnome desktop.

zypper se -s zoom

I installed zoom from Flatpack as per the instructions here: https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/540068-Zoom-app-Video-Conferencing
Zoom keeps getting regularly updated automatically.

However if i try to share my screen i get the message that Zoom only supports Wayland on Gnome for OpenSUSE 15 and above.

What I read is that Zoom does not work for sharing docs in Wayland. It’s a Zoom feature, not an openSUSE problem. For Zoom to work I have to logon as Xorg. Then it shares docs great.

I didn’t. I just changed my choice to Xorg at when entering my initial login pw.

Hi,

I installed x11 but could not use it as zoom never launched if i log in using X11. So i uninstalled zoon from flatpak and installed zoom from the rpm from the Zoom website.

But now i have another problem. If i share screen using Zoom, the part of the screen that is shared does not show any mouse control etc - it is like a dead space. I don’t know what to do.
