I have just finished updating my Tumbleweed to plasma 6.5.0.
I have a few strange z-order problems, e.g. Yakuake opens under the topmost window instead of opening above all other windows.
I made sure that the option to open above all other windows was set, and even tried disabling and re-enabling it, without any difference in behavior.
I have seen the problem also with other applications, but I do not remember the details right now, the Yakuake example is the most evident.
Anybody else seeing this?
Did you do the most basic check with a fresh user provile?

You’re right, I should have checked that.
And actually, a brand new user does not suffer from that problem.
That said, does anybody know what could be causing this problem?
If possible, I’d like to fix my current user rather than having to set up a completely new user.
Clear cache maybe? also cleat config though this will require setting up desk top again. try cache first
It was actually a bug, after all.
The new user did not show the buggy behavior because the default focus stealing prevention level is “low”.
