Hello,
Is where already any replacement for YaST Online Update tool in Leap 16.0, mostly interested in Unattended automatic updates feature, it was very handy to keep server in shape with small security updates?
HI, that was only a front end GUI to packagekit which should still take care of things… Are you using a desktop environment?
If not, then on a local computer I use Cockipt and then a remote connection to some servers, then use Software Updates;
No on server, thats why i want it to install non interactive patches unattended every day.
Not tried cockpit yet, maybe there is way for cli only config?
Look at the packagekit-background.service and rebootmgr package, this should provide everything you need.
Thank you very much thats exacly ive been looking for!
You can also use the os-update package. This automates the installation of patches. It either restarts the services only or also reboots the machine based on the patches.
openSUSE/os-update: Update automatically package based OS and reboot if necessary
