when i try to add the packman repos tot yast i get the following error

Well, we cannot see the URL you’re pasting, but my bet is the URL is wrong.
Try
sudo zypper ar -f -n Packman http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/linux/packman/suse/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/ Packman
sudo zypper ref
This should add the repo, refresh all repos ( and ask you to trust the Packman key, answer “a” ).
Next you do
zypper dup --from Packman
zypper in ffmpeg k3b-codecs vlc-codecs flac lame
, at least that’s what I do :).

Also, a
sudo zypper clean && sudo zypper ref
cleans the state of the repos on your system and refreshes the repos.
This is a problem with yast2-packager. It has been fixed today and a revised rpm published here:-
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/YaST:/Head/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/
Would suggest that you download the rpm and install it using zypper or the rpm commend (I have tested it and it works fine) or wait for until it reaches a future tumbelweed iso snapshot
