YaST close after update

Hi,

when I used openSUSE 11.0 and after an update/software’s installation
YaST asked if I want to install other software.
Now, with 11.1, when the installation is finished, YaST close
immediatly.

Is it a bug or something like that ?

Thanks

Oooh very nice, thanks for sharing! I didn’t know someone provided a
solution for it, many have been looking for one.

To the others that want it back,

  • Installing the update
  • Start up YaST software management
  • Configuration (menubar)
  • Repositories (menu option)
  • add (button)
  • next (button)
  • Repository name: YaST autoclose fix
  • Url:
    Code:

http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home://lslezak/openSUSE_11.1/

  • next
  • ok (button)
  • import (button)
  • Set the filter in the dropdown box on the topleft to
“Repositories” and select YaST autoclose fix
  • Rightclick on any of the list-items on the right and select “All
in this list” > “Update if newer version is available”
  • Accept (button)
  • Configuring the behaviour
  • Start up YaST Control Center
  • Select System on the left
  • Click /etc/sysconfig Editor on the right
  • Unfold the following options:
  • System
  • YaST2
  • GUI
  • Select PKGMGR_ACTION_AT_EXIT
  • Pick one of the options,
  • close
close the package manager immediately (the default value, the
    same
    behavior as in final 11.1)
  • restart
restart the package manager immediately, install/remove more
    packages
  • summary
display the new installation summary dialog, pressing [Finish]
loses the package manger, pressing [Back] goes back to the package
manager (install/remove more packages). This is similar to the old
“Install more packages?” popup in 11.0 but there are details about
    the installation which just has
    finished.
  • ok (button)
  • ok (button in popup window)

And may I request a sticky till this is available by default in 11.1 or
till 11.2 hits?

Not quite sure how to thank the ’ author’

find an email address.
