Xen Installation Fail

Opensuse 13.2 new default install. Installed Xenserver and Xen-Tools via Yast. There is no entry in the grub men to boot the Xen Kernel.

Looking at grub.cfg I am guessing that this is the section that should have the Xen entry:

BEGIN /etc/grub.d/20_linux_xen

END /etc/grub.d/20_linux_xen

As you can see it is embty. I have run grub2-mkconfig with the same result.

Did I miss something in the install?

Make sure the kernel-xen package is installed, and install it if it isn’t. Once it is installed run

update-bootloader --refresh

as root to refresh the content of the grub2 menu.

Thanks, that did it. I thought that would have been installed when installing the xen server and xen tools throught Yast.

The install from yast did not create the xen entry in grub2 config

I ran the update-bootloader --refresh

This did not work.

Ok, i have used xen for quite a while it has always added entry when i installed it. So is something broken in this release, is there a patch or fix, or have we simply lost this integration, and made it a lot harder to use xen???/

How do I get the xen kernal to load?

My Bad, kernel-xen was not installed by the yast install virtual machine…
installed package and the section was created
