I saw that people were able to get X-Fi cards working by getting OSS sound working, but I haven’t figured that out yet.
Can anyone help me out?
You do not tell very much about what you have or did.
Are there now two sound cards in your system? When yes it may help when you make the new card the default by going to YaST > Hardware > Sound, select the X-fi, click the lower-right buttun and choose “Make it the first card” (or a text like that).
I have onboard sound an X-Fi. I can’t select X-Fi in the sound section in YaST. Even after I had installed OSS, it wasn’t listed.
I do not see in it in YaST either. Is it from Creative Labs? Is it connected to USB or not?
