WINE reports MS Sans Serif not available after Tumbleweed update

I cannot be more precise on this but somewhere between mid-May and the end of June a routine Tumbleweed update caused a problem with an old MS Windows application running under WINE. On start up, WINE reports that the font MS Sans Serif is not available and the text in the MS program is so small it is barely readable. Everything looks in order as far as I can see with the font locations.

I have a desktop running KDE and a laptop Xfce, both exhibit the same problem. I was able to go back to an earlier snapshot on the laptop and the problem disappeared. The earlier snapshot kernel version was 6.14.5-1.1 and the WINE version 10.0-3.1. The current versions are 6.15.4-1.1 and 10.11-1.1 respectively. I don’t know whether this is an issue with WINE or something else in the update but I would be very grateful for your thoughts.

More information. I did a snapper rollback on the desktop computer as far as I could: 2025-06-30. Fortunately this was far enough to recover the proper operation of the WINE program. I then locked all four WINE modules and did an update. Now all is working fine.

The culprit was WINE version 10.11. Version 10.10 works fine. I will file a bug report.
