Wine & Purple/Magenta Cursor

I don’t know if it’s just my system, but after applying the latest Wine update, the mouse cursor in Wine windows is now purple/magenta/pink, whatever. Not a big problem, just annoying.

Any way to fix this? I’ve looked through the various config files in ~home and /usr/share/wine, and can’t find any parameter that might even remotely address this.

Ditto  … and the change to a “fuzzy” cursor with a bracket when
editing text is even worse :frowning:

PeeGee

Asus M2V-MX SE, AMD LE1640, openSuSE 11.0 x86-64/XP Home VBox
Asus M2NPV-VM, AMD 64X2 3800+, openSuSE 10.3 x86-64/XP Home dual boot
Asus eeePC 4G (701), Celeron M353, Mandriva 2009.1

I have got the same problem. It looks ugly, pushes to whole Wine experience back into something worse than 90s Windows.

Any solutions yet?

See this thread. Short answer: use wine 1.1.28 or 1.1.29. Those are the last versions that don’t have the pink cursors in them (at least that’s what I gather from that thread).

Hmmm. I am using 1.1.40 and the cursors are normal.
