Wine doesn't work

I am trying to run a program that needs wine and I am having trouble getting wine to work.

I installed wine and winetricks they seem to have worked correctly.

I tried to run winecfg. It needed to set the DISPLAY variable. I figured that out.

Now I get the following error and I don’t know how to proceed.

localhost:/home/jc/Downloads # wine winecfg

Any thoughts on how to make it work?

Have you tried erasing all traces of wine’s data from your system? Or what about doing that PLUS a reinstall?

That worked!

Thank you for your help.

No problem! If you have thumbnail problems in dolphin with you can also (in list in the center of the app’s window) you just go to your home directory, ctrl+F and delete everything that dolphin uses (worked for me at least, still has not fixed the same problem with the file picker but oh well)
