Windows somehow terminated by SUSE Upgrade

I’ve got Windows and SUSE on separate hard disk.
When I ran the upgrade using openSUSE 11.1 live DVD, it did upgrade my SUSE but I can no longer boot into Windows.

First, I tried booting up windows and a message popped up saying “Please select a proper boot device to boot” something like that…

So I tried booting directly at from the hard disk by prompting BIOS on start up. A new strange error came up…

Operating System Not Found.
Operating System Not Found.
Operating System Not Found.
Operating System Not Found.
Operating System Not Found.

So I tried booting the Windows setup disc and ran the recovery command: fixmbr.

I restarted and nothing boots up and there is no error message. There’s just a blank screen with a flashing bar icon on the top left.

 - What had happened to my Windows?
 - Is it somehow removed by YaST installer?
 - Is it possible to recover Windows? How?

Thanks in advance.

If you boot in to Suse you should be able to read the windows partitions to see if the file system is still there.

If windows is not mounted in the My Computer section (sysinfo)
open a terminal as su and do

fdisk -l

this will list all your drives and partitions
identify your windows main for us and we can give you the mount advice
