Where are the md5 lists for each of the iso's ?

Could someone please let me know where I can find the md5 of each download so that I can check my download before burning it to disc?, I can’t seem to find this basic detail anywhere.

I have the Live KDE cd 32 bit iso and am looking at the md5 sum on my machine but can’t find it listed anywhere on the opensuse website/download page, any pointer much appreciated, thanks

Index of /distribution/12.2/iso

Thanks very much for the link, actually I stupidly realised that to get the specific md5 you have to click your download choice then use the link below it, previously I just got the general main dvd one or something. Sorry, I only came back to cancel out the thread and then saw you responded so quickly.

thanks anyway, I am looking forward to installing this 12.2 release

When I am at the download page software.opensuse.org: Download openSUSE 12.2 and I make my choices for e.g. BitTorrent 64 Bit PC, then lower down it says

Verify your download (optional, for experts)

And then down there is e.g. the md5 checksum. Clicking on it you get the one for the options you have chosen above.

Thus change above to 32 bit to find the 32 bit checksum.

Yes indeed, I just posted above, but thanks very much for your reply, much appreciated

You are welcome. Enjoy your new openSUSE!

I agree that “Verify your download (Opional for experts)” isn’t immediately understandable although accurate.

IMO people who are already “expert” already know that they are looking for an MD5 so I recommend language should be modified slightly to something like

MD5 checksums for integrity check

Personally I clicked on that link only because I was curious what someone was hiding supposedly only understandable by expets…

I am with you. I am baffled by the fact that verifying is only for experts. Of course it isn’t.

But this is the wrong place to ask for a change. We are only your fellow users.
