When will OpenSuSE 11.2 alpha 0 (or 1) release?

So we already have schedule for final release month, but when the first alpha\beta release will come out?

It’s been out for months, but has stayed at alpha0.

It would be nice if http://en.opensuse.org/Roadmap showed the 11.2 map. Do
we really need to see the detailed 11.1 map now?

i wonder where is a news about opensuse 11.2’s development too…
i usually come to distrowatch to check about opensuse news, but until far is none :frowning:

I was thinking about this too, but it makes sense there’s no formal Alpha0 out yet. Much of the software they are targeting just wasn’t the primary focus of upstream projects until quite recently.

With openSUSE 11.2 probably shipping with KDE 4.3.1 or later…why publish an official Alpha with KDE 4.2.x? The same holds true with GNOME 2.26 vs 2.28, which has only recently become the focus of the GNOME project. The kernel was a similar situation, 2.6.30 just hit release candidate status - and there’s a possibility oS 11.2 will have the next version anyway.

Still, with the kernel, KDE and GNOME projects all now focusing on early editions of the versions expected in openSUSE 11.2…I suspect an official Alpha will be on the way soon. Perhaps, close to the release of KDE 4.3 Beta.
