What is preferred log rotation method on TW

I am creating a new log file which will be updated regularly and I want to trim the storage used by using a log rotation tool. What is the preferred app for this purpose on TW

@Budgie2 Hi, look at logrotate… The logrotate.timer/service and drop in files in /etc/logrotate.d/ for your requirements.

Hi Malcolm,
All good I think. I have set up system “cron jobs” for os-update, betterbird-update and logrotate to trim the logging I set up for betterbird. Just a precaution until I am happy all is well.
Will do the same for get_iplayer in due course as I am slowly getting more confident with systemd.
Will call for more help no doubt but all good for now.
