Waybar update problem

I have both hyprland and sway installed (I keep a separate config for the hyprland waybar).

When I run zypper dup, I see this problem and options:

Problem: 1: the installed waybar-0.10.3-1.1.x86_64 requires 'libspdlog.so.1.14(FMT_v10)(64bit)', but this requirement cannot be provided
deleted providers: libspdlog1_14-1.14.1-2.1.x86_64

Solution 1: Following actions will be done:
  deinstallation of waybar-0.10.3-1.1.x86_64
  deinstallation of patterns-sway-sway-20200619-6.3.x86_64
  deinstallation of sway-branding-openSUSE-0.16.2-1.1.noarch
 Solution 2: keep obsolete libspdlog1_14-1.14.1-2.1.x86_64
Solution 3: break waybar-0.10.3-1.1.x86_64 by ignoring some of its dependencies

Did anyone else encounter this? I guess solution 2 sounds like the best option?

Any advice? Or need any more info from me? Ran my last update this past Sunday, and I’ve been using Tumbleweed for less than 3 months.

waybar fails to build with the new libfmt. Someone needs to step in and fix it.

This is your only option so far if you want to keep waybar. This will also block update of any package rebuilt against new libspdlog1.

At least you were prompted to keep the obsolete version of libspdlog. I was only given the option to either remove waybar or break it.

It’s being investigated in Factory to see why it didn’t rebuild, probably related to the storage outage, but a build issue, not a package issue…

Edit: I just grabbed from the X11:Wayland repo and installed without problems…
