I trying to load and play an old windows game with wine it’s complaining that I need to be in 256 colours mode. I have a nvidia gforce 6100 nforce 405 card and it doesn’t give me the option to go to go to that few colours. I"m on LXDE and the latest version of Opensuse. Thanks in advance.

See if any of the suggestions in this HOW TO will work for you. (They don’t look to hard to try). Give us an update on these approaches when you’ve done some testing.
Please simply say what version of openSUSE you use. The vague “latest version of Opensuse” is not precise enough because some would think this is 11.4 as being th newest supported level and some would interprete as 12.1Mn because that is newer (allthough only in test). Also when somebody comes to this thread (by using e.g. Google) in a year or more, (s)he is not very well served by this expression.
