Hello,
I recently had problems with VLC media player (I just installed it), I downloaded the VLC codecs package. When I try to play a video, it says:
VLC does not support the audio or video format “mpga”. Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.
Before I was able to fix this problem (on another computer), but on this one, it just doesnt work (well of course, it
s still the early 21st Century, things don`t work yet). I have looked at other forums, and none of them helped at all.
I am using OpenSUSE 13.2.

If you got the codecs you need to get all parts of the program from packman. So that all parts match the version.
Open Yast-Software management and search for vlc. at bottom right there are tabs one is versions. Make sure all parts of vlc are from the same source (packman) and version

I would say your main issue that you have the VLC repo
But please look carefully and remove the following
7, 4, 3
In that order, then there is no confusion
Next open yast - software management
View by repo and select Packman and switch packages to that repo
