[Virtualbox] clipboard from kde to vm no working any more

Hello,
Since today, the clipboard from KDE to my VirtualBox Windows 11 VM has stopped working. However, the clipboard from the VM to KDE still works fine.

My VM is Windows 11 running in VirtualBox.
My host is Linux Tumbleweed with KDE.

Has anyone else experienced the same issue? Could it be related to a recent package update?

Thanks!

Actually, for #1, “that’s” the question for you … everyone has their own habit to run ‘zypper dup’ … so the question back to you is: did you run a ‘zypper dup’ today, or the day before?

Some things to double-check:
a. Ensure “Bidirectional” is set for the Shared Clipboard setting.
b. Might need to run Guest Additions again.
c. Or if (b) is ensured, might need to run ‘sudo rcvboxadd setup’.

Other things may need to be done, but the above is a start.

Is your host DE running on wayland or on X11?

My VMs (Qemu/KVM !) cannot use the clipboard when my Tumbleweed host DE is running on wayland.

Hello and thank you,

@myswtest, I ran a zypper dup yesterday. I have the VirtualBox Guest Additions running on Windows. It was working fine yesterday.

@susejunky, yes, I had the same problem when I tested KVM — that’s why I switched to VirtualBox, which was working.

By the way, I’m running Wayland, not X11.

Regards,

VGib

Hello,

After the last update, it seems to be working again.

Thank you all!
