VirtualBox 2.0.0 is up

From their forum, it appears that an update requires the complete un-install of earlier versions (including the config files).

An easier update may be VirtualBox 1.6.6 @ Download_Old_Builds - VirtualBox for those like me running VirtualBox 1.6.2.

Have fun:)

openSUSE 11.0, VirtualBox 2.0.0 (openSUSE 10.3 version, same as I used
with1.6.2).

I tried the SuSE 11 version but it keep dieing when I tried to configure the
vertual disc. I noticed the acutual rpm says openSUSE11.1. I have not
installed 11.1 alpha3 yet, I was going to do that right before my harddisk
failed.

I installed 2.0 yesterday after I restored my system from a disk crash. Had
been using 1.6.2. I only appear to have one problem. My Printer is a usb
device. I configure it in Sun xVM manger. It show it correctly and says its
active. After boot in Guest (WinXP) i cannot configure the printer as the
usb ports do not show. It worked on 1.6.2.

Have you tried the usb devices? I did mount usbfs before starting the VM as
per the manual.

Hmm, lucky I’m too foolhardy to pay attention to advice from forums, I just updated the RPM and all my VMs still work.

Same here lol!

I updated 1.62 using the 2.0 RPM for 11.0 and lost both USB access and the
guest additions. I haven’t had time to mess with those issues but it
installed XP Pro just fine and it seems to run as expected - even installed
SP3 without a hiccup. Now, all I have to do get the USB and such
going…

Yes mine is up as an XP guest. Only thing not working is usb. Had a error on
boot of linux this morning which cleared after I took the usb entry (Vbox
wants) out of FSTAB. Don’t really no if it was related to boot problem
which was a corrupt partician which I fixed with YaST repair.
