I just installed 42.1(my primary OS is not Linux). I use a newer LCD TV as my monitor and the scaling function has improved, but now my issue is that I am stuck in RGB mode which means that I have overly bright whites and overly dark blacks. I would like to switch to YCbCr, but have not found a way to do so.
I have tried installing the propitiatory driver from AMD. Install goes fine, but upon restarting I get dropped off at a command prompt with no idea what to do next.(reinstall required) The open source driver seems to work fine, even for 3d stuff, but I cannot figure out how to change the output format. Any info would be helpful.
