VGA - AMD Radeon HD 6700M Series (dual monitor)

Having installed fgl successfully, following errors show up whilst verifying functionality.

Essentially, would like to have a Dell laptop and ViewSonic provide the dual monitor functionality.

aticonfig generate a xorg.conf at /etc/X11/…but, struggling to find how to make it to load a dual monitor conf built for this setup.

I use a HD6930e6

as till today only Kubuntu 12.04 runs flawless, with the radeon driver.
(fglrx does not work neither)

I can’t speak for your hardware.

My Dell Studio 1537 laptop has an older Radeon HD3450 graphics. When I want a dual monitor setup with laptop screen and an external monitor, I boot my laptop to openSUSE-12.1 without the monitor, I plug in the external monitor, I open a terminal and I type ‘xrandr’ , at which time a GUI pops up, and I follow the GUI guidance from then on.
