Hi,
convertible Laptops can be used either standard way or like tablets. in the latter case they have to rely on the touchscreen.
I wonder whether opensuse can deal with that.
does anyone have experience with installing OS on such a computer?
e.g. on a lenovo yoga 11s?
how is touchscreen handling in general in OS? is there some special configuration needed, or would it work out of th ebox?
thanks
paul
I can’t answer this question from personal experience, but a quick search shows that the kernel gained multi-touch support from version 3.8 onwards.

So, there is a good chance that openSUSE 13.1 will provide support out of the box, or else consider 12.3 with a kernel upgrade.
ive booted open suse from live usb on a toshiba u920t, touchscreen works well
thanks - good to know.
so with 13.1 it’ll probably be more reliable
