USB devices not detected

My hard drive was broken and needed to be replaced and after reinstalling Leap 15.5 no plugged in USB device gets detected anymore. The ports must be working though because I installed the OS by USB

lsusb -v with one usb stick plugged in gives me

Can anyone help?

Can you plug the device in and provide dmesg output?

What you posted in the boot log and not that helpful for this problem.

Can you try once more:

  1. dmesg --follow-new
  2. insert and remove a few USB devices in different ports
  3. post that log

So delete that Version.

Here are some steps that you can follow to resolve this error.

  1. Check power supply
  2. Check USB device on other computer
  3. Check USB port and cable
  4. Check for hardware issue
  5. Check for USB device compatibility
    Thanks

dmesg --follow-new and inserting an USB mouse alone fixed it for some reason

Shall I post the log anyway?

thank you so much <3

No, that is not what solved the problem, it does only show the logging, something else was changed.

But good to hear the problem is solved!
