Updating OS opensuse11 32bits to opensuse11.1 64bits

For a quite while I have been using 32bits version under my X2 64bits, and for every next generations of opensuse I did a almost clean install, that means I just delete the root partition an keep all the others, set up the same users and passwords and everything works just fine for me… “10.2 -->10.3 -->11”.
Now I want do give a go to next great update “11.1”, but this time i’ll try the 64bits version ….

Soh, should the same method work for me this time..?

“opensuse 11 kde4.1.3 no gnome and almost no kde3 ”

New ideas are welcome to update my system ...tks..

Yes, provided there are no system files in the partition(s) you retain. If that consists of /home, you should be ok.

tks ken_yap…

in 20 days i’ll put a feedback …
