Updates: UEFI Secure Boot Forbidden Signature Database

Afternoon, just got this update notice:

and I notice this is from a unknown author:

1. Is this a required/necessary update, and
2. is is safe to update it anyway rather if not required/necessary
3. if not required/necessary, how do I remove it as a notice, if it can be removed?

Yes, Microsoft’s secure boot certificate expired recently, and issued an update.
