I’ve got a Lenovo T430 with an i5-3320, and a Nvidea GF108M GPU (NVS 5400M) . Prior to updating (clean install) from Leap 15.1 to 15.2 this unit rarely showed processor temps above 150F, now I am seeing temps above 200F with several browser windows open, or if I am compiling. This is radically new behavior for this modest little machine.
Installed are the following,
-dkms-nvidia,
-libXNVCtrl0,
-libdrm_nouveau2,
-nvidea-compute,
-nvidea-gfxG04-kmp-default,
-nvidea-glG04,
-x11-video-nvidia, and
-x11-video-nvidea-devel.
Aside from refreshing the thermal paste on my gpu and cpu, what can I do to cool things down a little? Thanks in advance.
Please post:
/sbin//lspci -nnk | grep -EiA3 'vga|3d|display'
zypper se -si kernel nvidia
uname -a
