Update Vbox Guest Additions

I keep getting a message to upgrade VBox Guest Additions to newer version. I found this “how-to” on Suse site.
https://en.opensuse.org/VirtualBox

  1. sudo zypper rm virtualbox-guest-kmp-default virtualbox-guest-tools virtualbox-guest-x11
  2. sudo zypper in kernel-devel gcc make
  3. (Virtualbox menu)->Devices->Install Guest Additions. Then: sudo /media/VBOXADDITIONS_*/VBoxLinuxAdditions.run

It is for OpenSuse 11.4. Will this work for version 12.3 also?

Use Yast - Software - Software management to do this.

Unless you know what you are doing, you should use YaST, but to answer the
question, the 11.4 version also works on 12.1, 12.2, and 12.3.
