I’m looking for a small laptop that will be able to run Opensuse.
It will be a secondary machine, and I want between a 10" -13" screen. Nothing overly expensive. I keep looking around but I can’t seem to find one. I thought it would be useful asking here because I’m sure some of you are far more knowledgeable with laptop inards, and might be able to point me in the right direction.
I just want something lightish that I can carry around with me. I’m not sure I’m that keen with atom and celeron models, it doesn’t have to be the fastest processor but it would be nice if everything can run smooth. I won’t be playing games so the graphics don’t matter much…
Any suggestions? Thanks
The Eee PC (12.1 inch display) in my footer runs absolutely smooth.
Everthing working (proprietary nvidia driver, wireless, bluetooth).
Cpu is dual core with hyperthreading.

Thank you. I will put that one on my list.
Out of interest has anyone tried a lenovo edge 11 with the intel i3 processor in? Looks cheapish and within my budget. I get mixed feelings with lenovo though, i get the impression that at one time they were Linux friendly but seem to be moving away from that.
Dell netbook are Linux friendly. They used to support Ubuntu, so I guess they will support linux kernel well.
