Tumbleweed won't boot with kernel 7.0.2-1.1

I did a zypper dup to update Tumbleweed and it installed the latest kernel 7.0.2-1.1. Now Tumbleweed won’t boot with that kernel, I have to revert to kernel 6.19.12-1.1.

I’ve read some posts that others are having similar problems, but I don’t understand how to fix this. Perhaps someone can spell it out simply, step by step so I can get things working on the new kernel.

If you’re using nVidia drivers, then there are known issues that are being worked on.

If not, then you’ll need to give us some information about your hardware.

I’m using nVidia drivers, glad to hear that the kernel people are working on the problem. I’ll just wait for the fix to come out, hopefully in the near future.

How will this fix be labeled when it is released? Is there any idea of an expected release date for the fix?
