Tumbleweed game benchmarks

Hello,

I am currently dual-booting Tumbleweed and NixOS to compare the two. I’ve had Tumbleweed installed for about a month, and NixOS for only a couple days. My PC is primarily used for gaming, so I’m trying to compare gaming performance between the two distros. I did a benchmark of Cyberpunk 2077 in Tumbleweed and NixOS and the differences were pretty drastic. As far as I know, the settings between the two are the same (as close as i could get for OS settings, and identical game settings. Both are being launched through Heroic Games launcher with the same version of wine/proton).

Is there something I am missing with performance on tumbleweed? Screenshots of the results are below. Top image is tumbleweed, bottom is nixos

If anyone is wondering… the issue was flatpak. opensuse only installed heroic launcher via flatpak, but i had a native install in nixos. I just tested it on nixos with flatpak and native, and native was 160+ FPS while flatpak heroic launcher was 100
