Tumbleweed did online updates them rebooted computer now unable to login

Tumbleweed did online updates them rebooted computer now unable to start GUI session. Occurs whenever I get online updates. Happend for both XFCE and Plazma sessions. How do get another GUI session started?

I tried STARTX but did not work

Did online updates how? Login on a vtty and instead of startx, do sudo zypper dup, which stands a very good chance of fixing you up. It’s the preferred method to upgrade TW. Updating TW is inapplicable. Every TW release is in effect a new distro release, so a full upgrade that zypper up and GUI software tools typically fail at in trying.

after boot login and try: sudo systemctl set-default graphical.target
