Hello, i am trying to install TW, downloaded iso from opensuse web page (3 times on 2 different pcs).
Installation all goes well untill it summarize hardware and disks and than when it needs to go on and download stuff and install system reports errors that chksum is bad and that someone tempered with original iso.
I have made usb book stick with win32disksomething and with rufus, but same problem.
Can you help me on this matter plase?
Is the iso really broken?
Hi
Did you verify the checksum of the downloaded iso image?
Could also be your connecting to a mirror that is currently syncing the latest snapshot 20190409 that was released a few hours ago…
I have seen that error message. And it puzzled me. But I think I know why I got that message.
I was doing an install on a VM, using a USB for the installer. But I also had an iso configured as the DVD drive.
Apparently, after the kernel boots, it searches for the disk containing the install media. And, in this case, I had two disks with install media (the USB and the virtual DVD). Apparently it found the wrong one, hence the checksum problem.
I have no idea how or whether this relates to what you are doing.
The installer it self did verify checksum after installation was aborted, always same msg - bad media something and than wrong chksum. All that was in text mode of the installer.
With leap i had no problems, and was doing same things, thou to my hardware i decided to give TW a go, cause after research it would suit me better, that goes for problems installing gtx 1050ti mobile gpu with intel cpu with integrated intel gpu.
I think i saw he sesrches for media, but i dont have dvd and it was only usb pluged in. I have installed alot of linux images either for real or VM but never had that kind of problem.
Maybe broken TW image.
Wait for a new TW version and try again.
