I have just installed the opensuse 10.3 62 bit and was looking forward to using it but found that all the windows were missing the title bar ie no minimise maximise or close x. The Window also loaded at the top left hand side of the screen under the screen top bar. Because of this you were unable to move the windows around unless you toggled Alt. Any ideas?
Sounds like your window manager isn’t running. If you’re in KDE press Alt-F2 then type “kwin &”. This should bring them back. If that works then you just need to make sure that kwin runs on startup.
If you’re using GNOME then open up a command line window and type “metacity &” although if you’re using Compiz as well then this can mess it all up.
