I’m using Aeon and it’s been a great experience since install.
I was recently trying to organize some PDF files, and I’m having difficulty finding a way to install a thumbnailer (evince or papers), because the document viewer is flatpak and it doesn’t seem to interact with any thumbnailer installed via rpm.
Do you have any idea how to have some form of PDF thumbnailer in Nautilus on Aeon ?
Thank you very much for your answer !
I did the command but unfortunately it doesn’t work. I suspect Nautilus misses the thumbnailer file under /usr/share/thumbnailers
I’ll try to see if I can find a pre-made one online
Executed the command but they were all installed, so it didn’t change anything
I downloaded another file just to see if it’s a thumbnail cache problem and it was still not showing.
Anyway this is my /usr/share/thumbnails
@lctrr I see the same files here. It’s probably easier to just transactional-update pkg install evince-plugin-pdfdocument and remove the evince flatpak
Nice, it worked !
I did sudo transactional-update pkg install papers-plugin-pdfdocument instead of evince-plugin and it worked flawlessly.
Thank you again for your precious help ! I can finally reorder all my PDFs with ease
