Hi to everybody,
I’m taking the first steps in the Linux world, and I tried to install OpenSUSE 12.3 on my Lenovo X1 ultrabook. I connected it to a Thinkpad USB 3.0 Docking Station and I was able to use the USB ports and the Dock’s NIC, however, I’m not able to use the additional monitor (directly connected to the Dock).
Can anyone give me some suggestions?
Unfortunately that’s all you will get right now. All the USB 3.0 docking stations (at least, that I know of) utilize a Displaylink DL-3xxx chip for video, and there is no Linux driver for those. I’d suggest you make your experience known and voice your desire for one in the growing chorus over here: USB 3.0 Displaylink DL-3000 series: DL-3100 / DL-3500 / DL-3900 - DisplayLink Forum
Thanks for the answers, I’m using KDE and my graphic card is an INTEL HD Graphics 4000.
I checkd the displaylink.org forum as suggested from Tyler_K and I could see that, at the moment, there are still no drivers for the Displaylink DL-3xxx chip (used on my Dock).
