Ok, so I have to download the programs from the ‘Sauerland’ installation source.
This suits me fine. ![]()
No.
Better is to use my Repo and install from there.
So you get the Updates if a newer kernel is available.
zypper ar -f https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/Sauerland:/hardware/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/ Sauerland
zypper in -f r8125-kmp-default r8125-ueficert
That will add the Repo and will install the driver and cert once more.
After that an
zypper dup
will be needed for update the both packages if an update is available.
Thank you.
I saved the commands to a file and use them when needed.
Maybe then is your LAN not working…
But its on you.
Sorry I do not understand. Why wouldn’t the LAN connection work anymore?
I have already added the https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/Sauerland:/hardware/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/ Sauerland repo a week ago and installed r8125-kmp-default r8125-ueficert from it. This combination works well and the aforementioned programs were reloaded to right versions when the kernel version changed (kernel-default 6.2.10-1.1).
Or do you mean that r8125-kmp-default and r8125-ueficert are test version and no real fix will ever be done?
I thought you did not add the Repo…
So all good.
Sorry, I don’t know how to write/speak English well and that’s why I’m often misunderstood.
Thank you again.
You can delete your blacklist file and install the r8125-blacklist-r8169 rpm.
I have changed the Source to get it build.
