Thanks, that worked. Usually restart anyway after such a big update but must have forgotten last night.
While on the topic of HW temp, does anyone know how to edit the labels in the display so they are more meaningful? And/or take away the decimal point from the displayed value? Some configuration file somewhere?

Hmm, sensors-detect writes to /etc/lm-sensors but only one of the sensors mentioned can be found in /etc/sensors3.conf. And for that one, I can’t figure out how to get rid of the decimal point… The labels are ok actually, just found that they’re too long to show in the plasmoid so I’ll just have to shorten them - if I can find them, that is, because even for the one sensor identified /etc/sensors3.conf doesn’t give the labels that appear in the plasmoid. I take it that any local changes should be written to a file in /etc/sensors.d but I can’t figure out the correct format.
