I have a Acer TravelMate 2301LC (Intel Celeron M320 processor,: 1,3 GHz, 400 Mhz FSB, 512 KB L2 cache) and 512 MB DDR and would like to try Suse. Does my system support any version of Suse at all, or shall I give it up?
Best regards

512 RAM is a little low, but should install from the DVD (not CD). If you choose other from the Desktop selection and use Xfce, you should be fine with the current 11.1 version.

Installation runs fine on 192 MB. A full KDE is more than fine on 512 MB.

I am running full kde 3.5 and kde 4.2 on 384 MB RAM with no problems. So yes, you can install any version of SUSE and any desktop enviroment.
